„components“ – the idea
Digital images become components of a physical picture – via social media
The photograph you send in will become part of a fantastic new picture to be exhibited near Vienna, Austria, in May 2012.

With “components”, I am collecting portrait-photos of enthusiastic, creative people around the globe. All photos are welcome, from mobile-phone-shots to professional portraits. Through this blog you may follow who takes part, who joins in with a new image, and who comes from which country or continent.

In April 2012, all photos will come together as a collage on canvass and will be exhibited for the first time in conjunction with the art-exhibition “Project Social Media 31″ in Austria. I would be delighted if you would join in and let your photo shape part of the collage.

„components“ – the background
People growing up in a small village, as I did, learn the rules of social networks from early childhood.
Who knows whom? Where do I get what? Who knows everything and forgets nothing?
Where do similar interests find a way to meet?

Today, this village community bears – also – the name “social media”.
Knowing people and getting to know people, always be in contact, exchange information, discover common interests.
Today, communicating and being together can take place everyhwere and anytime, and from anywhere at any time.

Communication, information, curiosity, art, photography, cooperation and collaboration are the “components” which are joined together in this experimental project. Photographers, photo-enthusiasts and creative minds from all corners of the globe, digitally collaborating in order to create a physical exhibit.

„components“ – the person behind it all

Since 2009, I am working as a photographer in Munich, Amsterdam and Oslo. I studied at the “Fotoacademie Amsterdam”, took courses and workshops, for instance with Prof. Harald Mante. At present, I am studying “Künstlerische Fotografie” at the “Prager Fotoschule Österreich”.

My workplace in the previous job could easily be called “Europe”. As a result, people important to me are living in Amsterdam, Oslo, Munich, Vienna, Tromsø, Edinburgh, Budapest, Prag, and in other corners of the world like Brasil and the United Arab Emirates.
Social media retains our social network.

Photographers are permanenty on the lookout for captivating stories, themes and scenes, in all cultures. My new network of creative people is an enormous asset to me and to my work.

Without these networks of wonderful and creative people, “components” would not have been dreamt of, let alone started.

„components“ – die Idee
Digitale Bilder als “components” eines physischen Bildes – via Social Media
Dein Foto wird Teil eines fantastischen neuen Bildes, das im Mai 2012 im Rahmen  einer Ausstellung bei Wien, Österreich gezeigt wird.

Mit „components“ sammle ich Porträtfotos enthusiastischer, kreativer Menschen auf der ganzen Welt. Alle Fotos sind willkommen, von Handyfotos bis zu professionellen Porträtaufnahmen. Hier im Blog kann man verfolgen, wer teilnimmt, wer sich neu vorstellt, wer was über sich sagt, wer aus welchen Ländern und Kontinenten kommt.

Im April 2012 werden die eingesandten Fotos zusammengefügt: Die Collage auf Leinwand präsentiere ich erstmalig in der Ausstellung „Project Social Media 31“ in Österreich. Fühle dich eingeladen, mit deinem Porträt die „components“ Collage mitzugestalten.

„components“ – der Hintergrund
Wer wie ich, in einem Dorf aufwuchs, lernte früh die Grundregeln von sozialen Netzwerken kennen.
Wer kennt wen? Wo bekomme ich was? Wer weiß alles und vergisst nichts?
Wo finden sich die gleichen Interessen zusammen?
Heute heißt diese Dorfgemeinschaft auch „Social Media“.
Menschen kennen und neu kennen lernen, stetig in Kontakt zu sein, Informationen
austauschen, gemeinsame Interessen entdecken und verfolgen.
Die Kommunikation und das Miteinander finden jetzt in einem
geografisch und zeitlich unbegrenzten Rahmen statt.
Kommunikation, Information, Neugierde, Kunst, Projekte, Fotografie, Zusammenarbeit sind die Bausteine meines Projektes „components“ die ich in einem Experiment zusammenfüge. Gemeinsam mit Fotografen, Foto-Enthusiaten und kreativen Köpfen aus aller Welt soll ein physisch greifbares Exponat entstehen.

„components“ – die Person dahinter

Seit drei Jahren arbeite ich als Berufsfotografin in München, Amsterdam und Oslo. Ich besuchte die “Fotoacademie Amsterdam”, Workshops mit z. B. Prof. Harald Mante, und absolviere zur Zeit das Studium “Künstlerische Fotografie” an der Prager Fotoschule Österreich.

In meinem früheren Berufsleben hieß mein Arbeitsplatz „Europa“: Amsterdam, Oslo, Dresden, München, Wien, Tromsø, Edinburgh, Budapest, Stockholm, Prag, und auf vielen anderen Plätzen der Welt, z. B. Brasilien, V.A.R, leben Menschen dir mir sehr wichtig sind. Social Media erhält nun unser Netzwerk.
Fotografen sind neugierig, immer auf der Suche nach interessanten Geschichten, Motiven in allen Kulturen. Die neue Vernetzung mit kreativen Menschen ist ein großer Gewinn für mich und meine Arbeit.

Ohne diese Netzwerke mit wunderbaren, kreativen Menschen wäre ich nicht auf „components“ als Teil des „projectsocialmedia“ gekommen.
Ich freue mich auf „components“ und den Kontakt mit euch.
